The Holy Spirit is whispering to each of our hearts “come further up, come further in”- come dwell on the promises He has given us in His Word! Will we–yes, even in the midst of Christmas busyness, activities and preparations galore, answer His call? He beckons each of us. Oh how he desires to reveal His promises to us and strengthen us daily.

This fall, I encourage you to see big & small blessings as the Godwinks that they are… God showing His love to you! It is not just a coincidence. It is not just a “nice” thing that happens. Each and every act that makes your eyes light up and your heart soar… your Heavenly Father is the author of that.

The Gift of Life’s Canvas

The lesson I found in painting that day, my special ninth birthday gift, was it’s more about the process. It’s less about the control or the finished product. He’s leading us into making a masterpiece, His hand is upon ours. His expert brush is able to correct any mistakes. His advice and wisdom is available as He helps paint the picture of our lives.

A Brave & Tender Heart

It’s a brave thing to keep your heart a heart of flesh, tender and gentle in the midst of challenge, hurt, and the grief of this world. Next time that something hurts deeply and we are tempted to close off our hearts—we must surrender our hearts again to our Savior God. Let’s place our heart in His hands- the only place it will be truly safe and secure. To do this is an act of bravery, an act of trust, an act of faith.

Hope for the Hard Places

I want to encourage you– you are not going to be stuck here forever. Things are going to change. Things are going to shift. Just like the passing of a river over the rocks or the passing of clouds in the sky— life, situations, and seasons will change. It is a guaranteed promise! Here’s some hope for your heart while stuck in the hard places…

He Will Bring You Through

If I could go back in time– back to that difficult season of my life– I’d like to tell myself something like this:
This thing that is trying to break you, God will turn it around and use it to remake you. This thing you grapple with, perhaps even feel stifling your breath… it will fade away. Rest in Him, Dear one.
