Luminous Love
One summer evening, my girls and I attended a Lantern Festival, decorating lanterns with blessings and watching them float over a quiet lake. As they drifted, illuminated and golden, I felt the presence of God’s light—a steady, luminous love that guides us through every season. His light shines brightest in our darkest moments, filling our lives with hope. Today, let’s remember: even when life feels shadowed, His light is constant, drawing us close to His heart.
Walking in a New Direction
Ever felt sure you were on the right path, only to realize you’d gone off course? In “Walking in a New Direction,” I share the story of a mountain hike that mirrored my own journey with God’s guidance. Discover how walking with the Shepherd leads to a new, better direction.
Triumphant in Christ
My heart couldn’t have felt further from “triumphant” as I drove to say my final goodbye to my dad. But here, months later, I can see that in that moment, and every moment before and after, I was/am/ and will be triumphant in Christ. Yes, I am an overcomer in Christ! You are too.
God’s Hand in our Ordinary Days
Take heart, friend— God sees all! He sees the big picture from beginning to end. He uses the ordinary days— when it seems like nothing new is happening or perhaps it just feels like the same-old struggles where there is no help or no plan— and He forms and uses those days for His glory. God uses those days to sweep His invisible hand into our lives working, orchestrating, weaving a beautiful tapestry in our lives. This “weaving” cannot often be see as it’s in process, but it is one that we will look back on and realize…
Never An Underdog
We see ourselves not from the natural standpoint but from the eyes of the spirit. We see ourselves not as the under dog but as the champion- the overcomer! We will receive the full victory just like David did, because we have the God of the universe on our side. Jesus Christ, Number #1, all position player, with the perfect track record is up to bat. He has never known a loss and never will.
Constant Watering
We need constant watering in the Word. Not just a sprinkle here or there or not just relying on a little rainstorm that comes our way. No, we need a constant source of perpetual water of God’s Word in our lives. Without it we become dehydrated, brittle, hard hearted and immovable. In a state like that it is hard to serve God and follow His voice.
Adventuring Out
Much like an adventurous rollercoaster or a jaunt through a mountain pathway during a storm, God is bringing miracles out of the mayhem. He’s the one who causes what the enemy meant for evil to be turned around and used for good.
Brought Near
Is there anything greater than being together? Summer ushers in a special time of those who are close in our hearts but far in location being brought near for enjoyment, friendship, quality time and connection. Did you know that we are “brought near” because of the lavish love of Christ? We are! Never to be alone again, we can rest eternally in Him and His love for us.
Keeping Pace with the Holy Spirit
This “keeping pace with the Holy Spirit” more than likely will be a bit more slow, gentle, and restful than you first thought. It may be less of “hurry up, go go go” and more of a
“rest, recharge, soak”.
If we are to continue on this journey that eventually leads us to our eternal home we got to “keep pace” with the Holy Spirit and His gentle way.
